This week’s events
New State Park
Even though Utahraptor State Park technically opened in 2021, it hasn’t seen much development or support for visitors until recently. After millions of dollars in investment its set for a grand opening in late April.

Utahraptor State Park by Brad Walker
Utahraptor State Park spans 6500 acres and includes 50 miles of trails for hiking, biking, and off-road driving. The new updates will include 61 modern campgrounds with water, electrical hookups, fire rings, picnic tables, and restrooms.
If you love dinosaurs this is the spot for you! The park grounds include and area called Dalton Well’s bone bed which is is one of North America’s largest fossil sites containing thousands of dinosaur fossils.
Date Night Eats
My wife and I love food which means we’re always looking for a new spot for our date nights. Here are some to give a try!
Log Haven

Front door + inside front entryway
This might just be the coziest restaurant in Salt Lake. A small cabin nestled in Millcreek canyon where you’re greeted by soothing music and a roaring fireplace. Not to mention the food is so tasty. The elk and crab cakes were to die for!
Caffe Molise

Dining Room
A more upscale European feel in a great location in the heart of downtown Salt Lake. This spot serves a blend of Italian and french food, known for its flavorful pastas and tasty Tiramisu.
Urban Hill

Open Kitchen + Dining Room
If you’re in the mood for something a bit more modern this place has a unique menu and an open faced kitchen so you can see where the magic happens.
They rotate their menu often depending on what’s in season. If you’re lucky enough, the truffle burrata will be an app option. It’s to die for.
