Saving the Salt Lake
In a world full of bad news there’s always a bright spot. This week, it’s more money being invested in preserving the Great Salt Lake.

The Great Salt Lake
The Salt Lake City Council just approved a $2.2 million grant to be added to the $21.9 million city budget. This additional investment is going to be used to purchase and protect over 200 acres of wetlands near the airport.
The grant is estimated to cover 1/3rd of the total project cost and the land agreement is expected to be reached in 2026.
If you’re like me, you’ve been wanting our city to focus more on this issue and this is a good sign that we’re finally turning a corner, fingers crossed!
New Eats
I spend way too much money eating out but on the bright side I always have new restaurant recommendations for friends. Here are a few that are new on the scene!
Contento Cafe

Contento Cafe featuring my wife’s chilaquiles
I’ve tried the contento bowl and their chilaquiles, both will make your taste buds happy campers. They take traditional Mexican dishes and put a modern spin on them. Oh and their coffee is delightful (try the Mexican mocha 😉).
SCELto

Bar @ SCELto
If you’re feeling a bit fancier and craving Italian, put this one on your list. I’m always a sucker for a place with homemade bread (and pasta). They also have a full bar, with plenty of cocktails.🍸
Zhu Ting Ji

Outside view
In the mood for asian? It won’t get more authentic than this. Homemade noodles, soups, and more. They also have an open faced kitchen so you can see all the magic happen in front of you. 🧑🍳
